Groenvlei, a working Karoo Sheep farm, is situated in the Sneeuberg, close to Graaff-Reinet and Nieu-Bethesda's famous Owl House. Only 60 km from the N1, at Richmond.
Accommodation (self-catering or catered) is offered in either a one, two or fourbedroomed house, fully serviced daily, to enable you to take a real break. Braai facilities and wood available for fireplaces in each cottage, also electric blankets for winter when snowfalls are possible! We have a tennis court, bicycles, horses, swimming, birding (210 species), hiking (10 marked trails varying from 2 - 18 km) or just sit back, enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Karoo, while your children explore their safe surroundings.

Or visit the world-famous Owl House in Nieu-Bethesda, also known for the fossil collection and fossil education centre. The village offers many restuarants & art shops.
